Bush Bay
Located approximately 50km south of Canarvon is Bush Bay. A large camping area spread out across 10km of shallow beaches.
The shallow waters are home to abundant Bream, Whiting and Flathead. The coast line is lined with many little creek inlets that have deeper holes. These inlets are home to cod, Mangrove Jack and Bream. Walking the flats on a incoming tide cast poppers is a great way to target Whiting and Bream. On an out going tide the small inlets rush out flushing bait fish out onto the flats were Flathead and Bream hang around structure waiting for a feed. Small soft plastics cast towards the inlet and slow jigged back is the way to go here.
There is literally km of shallow waters to explore and it is all worth it. Land based fishing around the flats can be great fun and there are lots of little secret inlets to find that hold Mangrove Jack and Bream.
Offshore the shallow waters give way to weed beds and deep channels. The deeper waters are home to small Pink Snapper, Cod, Bream and small Trevally.
