Where to go fishing near Wooyung Beach?

• Blackrock Mangrove Jack and Bream on the incoming tide.
• Brunswicks River Mangrove Jack Good snaggy country here that has Mangrove Jack, best in Summer. Bream and Flathead are also caught here.
• Deep hole A deep hole here produces Bream and Flathead, summertime Mangrove Jack.
• Old Oyster Leases Great fishing on a run out tide for Flathead on soft plastic lures or bait like yabbies. A rising tide is good for Bream around here.
• Simpson Creek upstream Good fishing on big tides, fish the gutters, drop offs and channels draining into the main channel on the run out tide for Flathead with soft plastics.
• Oyster Leases This is a good lure fishing spot for Bream and Flathead, the deeper water closer to the channel holds the most fish. Early mornings with a rising tide can be very productive for bream.
• Marshall Creek Oyster Leases Best fishing here is on an incoming tide for Bream, small hard body lures and soft plastics work well, cast beside the lease, be prepared to lose some tackle!
• Marshall Creek Upstream Best fishing on bigger tides, the outgoing tide can be very productive for Flathead, cast into any draining gutters or channels flowing back into the creek, pink soft plastics work well.
• Marshall Creek Rockwall Drain On a runout tide this can be a very productive spot for Flathead, the shallow flats to the north are also worth trying. On an incoming tide, Whiting and Bream forage on the flats and rock wall.
• Marshall Creek Rock Wall Good fishing for Flathead and Bream. Incoming and outgoing tide work well, outgoing tide is better for flathead.
• Brunswick Bridge Fish close the bridge structure in the deeper water for Bream and Flathead, best fish with live bait such as herring or yabbies, otherwise strip mullet and prawns work. 
• Boat Harbor Rock wall Fish the rock wall for Flathead, Luderick and the odd mangrove jack. Fishing around the boat moorings and inside the harbor has good bream.
• Prues Point Access into a deeper water hole has Bream, Flathead and Luderick.
• Simpson Creek Rock Wall A popular fishing spot in Brunswick River for Luderick in Winter. Mulloway, Bream and Flathead also pass by the rock wall. Mulloway mostly at night on live bait.
• Simpson Creek Bridge Good fishing on an incoming tide for Bream, Whiting and Flathead.
• Torakina Park Rock wall This is a good spot to fish if there are big swells as fish will come inside the river to shelter. Bream, Flathead and the odd Mulloway.
• Brunswick River Mouth A good spot to fish, walk along the paved path and pick a spot. This fishing spot produces Bream, Flathead and Luderick. This is a good night time spot for Mulloway. Fish off the end for Tailor, metal slugs work well.
