Where to go fishing near Aurukun?
- Watson River There is NO netting permitted in Watson River, however there's plenty of good crabs around. Watch out for Crocs.
- Ward River Section – Aurukun This area dries out, and inaccessible on the outgoing/low tide. There are plenty of crocs around this area so use caution. Barramundi and milkfish are common here if you get in on high tide, it is very shallow, but not impossible.
- Archer River The Archer River is worth exploring, especially on a rising tide as the sand banks can get shallow.
