Work the rising tide from the beach for a good catch of trevally, grunter, barramundi, and even salmon. The mangrove line outside the Norman River mouth (opposite the boat ramp) has been known as great salmon fishing on the high tide.

Soft plastics, lures and live baits all work well, especially poppers around the sunrise or sunset.
