The Coucom range of crab pots are made entirely in Yeppoon, Queensland. We source the best quality materials from Australian suppliers for the manufacturing of our pots.
Over the last 20 years we have always worked closely with Qld Department of Agriculture and Fisheries to make sure that our crab pots meet all standards and regulations for Australian waters. We are aware of the different standards for each state and we take care to make our pots as “turtle friendly” as possible.

Where to go fishing near Coucom’s Crabpots and Fishing Gear?
- Fishing Creek Accessed primarly via kayak, fishing creek provides exceptional fishing on the right tides. Beware of resident crocodiles.
- Corio Bay Mouth Black jewfish in deep holes around the mouth and west towards headland. Jewfish are best targeted at late afternoons and at night. Beware tide moves fast during incoming and outgoing tides, mouth of Corio Bay drains quickly.
- Corio Bay Salmon If timed correctly fishing for Salmon here is great. Also Flathead, Trevally along with Bream are always lurking around. Look for the eddies made from the current, fishes well on both incoming and outgoing tides.
- Yeppoon Beach Fishing On low tide you can walk out to the end rocks and fish for Bream, best to use a long beach rod and bait.
