Good reef starts here, approximately 17km from Cape Keraudren, around 6m deep surrounded by deeper waters 12-15m deep. Coral Trout, Emperor, Tuskfish, Mackerel and Sail fish in deeper waters.

Where to go fishing near Cape Keraudren Reef?

  • Pardoo Rock Headland Trevally, Queenfish and Mackerel around the rocky headlands.
  • Cape Keraudren Feeder Creeks Good feeder creeks to try for Threadfin Salmon on shallow diving minnow and soft plastic prawn lures. Cast in the dirty water lines during an out going tide and let prawn soft plastic drift down then jig up, repeat. With the incoming tide move into the deeper channel on the east while cast shallow diving lures.
  • Cape Keraudren Jacks Mangrove Jack and Cod throughout the creeks, focus on the beds and deeper holes around snags.
  • Cape Keraudren inlet Fish around the rocks on high tide for Queenfish, Trevally and Mackerel.
  • Cape Keraudren Reef Approximately 16km offshore, this reef is approximately 8m deep surrounded by 12m deep water.
  • Reef Fishing Cape Keraudren Good reef fishing starts about 13-15km offshore from Cape Keraudren. Coral Trout and tuskfish are the main target fish off the bottom. Trolling for mackerel is also successful further offshore around the shoals.
  • Cape Keraudren Rock Best fished at high tide, the headlands produce Queenfish, Trevally and the odd Mackerel. Use poppers, soft plastics and metal slugs worked through the water at vary speeds.
