Tucked away beneath beautiful rainforest lies the remote Daintree Village, which has a single lane concrete ramp suitable for smaller craft (up to 14ft). This is the gateway to the upper Daintree River, a mecca for sweet water fishing. Plenty of car parking and toilet facilities nearby.

  • Daintree Coast The coastline between Port Douglas and Cape Kimberley is good fishing for most species, including Coral Trout, Queenfish and Trevally. Remember to keep an eye out for zones and
  • Daintree Reefs The bommies and reef between Cape Kimberley and Snapper Island hold a variety of good sized reef fish, including Coral Trout, Trevally, Mackerel, Emperor, Queenfish and even Lobsters. Snapper Island is close to shore and easily accessible. It is great for Mackerel, Tuna, Queenfish, Giant Trevally and also Fingermark at night. Access to Rudder Reef and Undine Reef is only half an hour away for Coral Trout, Nannygai and Red Emperor.
