Giralia Bay is located 130km south of Exmouth township. Access to Giralia Bay is via Giralia Station, followed by a 40km dirt road to the camp spots. Access to the coastline is for guest only. The road is generally kept in good condition and access is limited when the road is muddy.

Giralia Bay fishing spots are rarely fished, which makes this place a must any angler. There are quite a few land based fishing spots at Giralia Bay to explore. The shallow flats of Ex Giralia have great sight casting for Trevally, Queenfish, Bream and Whiting. Giralia is a great place to launch a small boat to explore the small creeks, where the fishing is absolutely fantastic. The small creeks hold Mangrove Jacks, lots of big Cod, Threadfin Salmon, Bream, Dusky Flathead and Trevally. Around the western headland is a great place for trolling lures for Spanish Mackerel. The reef area here also holds Bluebone Tuskfish.

Ex Giralia Creek Camp

This is a good place to launch a small boat and a fantastic camp spot. Fishing the creek here produces Bream, Flathead and Cod. At the mouth of the creek on an incoming tide bream come into the mangroves and will readily take all kinds of lures.

Upstream Creek Camp

Upstream from the camp spot is a better spot to target small Threadfin Salmon, Cod and Mangrove Jack.

Reef Headland

Troll the outstide of the reef for Spanish Mackerel on high tide. Bream, Tuskfish and Cod in the shallow reef of the bay.

First Creek Giralia Bay

This is the first creek going west from camp in a boat, it is not the most productive creek. It produces Flathead, Bream, Cod and Mangrove Jack. Lots of whiting, flathead and bream at the mouth of the creek.

3 Creeks Giralia bay

These creeks can only be access on mid tide and above, be careful not to get stuck in the creeks on the way out on a the shallow sand bars. The 3 creeks are all worth exploring and produce big Cod, Mangrove Jack, small Threadfin Salmon, Bream and Flathead. The shallows out the front produce Trevally on a rising tide.

Giralia Bay headland

The beaches of the headland are great places to target Trevally and Queenfish in the shallow. Its not uncommon to be able to sight cast to these fish cruising the shallows. Bream are found around the mangroves on an incoming tide.

Prawn Farm West

It is almost to easy catching a feed of whiting and bream around the shallows.

Prawn Farm South

This is the only camp on the eastern side and is not really suitable for caravans, however small to medium boats can be launched here. The insects are worse on this side also. However the creeks in Giralia Bay have rarely been fished and are all well worth exploring. Anglers can expect Threadfin Salmon, Mangrove Jacks, Big Cod, Trevally, Queenfish and the odd Barramundi further north.

    Hi Team,

Heading to Giralia Station in July, where would be the best place to get the weather and fishing conditions from?
Can we fish for Prawns there?
